Zeus Arc GT4 Review: The Gold Standard in Portable Dry Herb Vaporizers

A hands-on look at the 2025 flagship from Zeus Arsenal

About the Author

I’ve been using dry herb vaporizers since around 2012 when the original PAX was released. I have since tested over 20 other dry herb vaporizers, both portable and desktop variations, and they remain my favorite type of device for consuming cannabis products to this day. As a medical-focused company, we always recommend a choosing a vaporizer over smoking/combustion for consuming marijuana products as it is proven to be safer for long-term lung health.

With that being said, let’s get this review started!

Introduction

The dry herb vaporizer market has seen incredible innovation over the past few years, with manufacturers pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in a pocket-sized device. Enter the Zeus Arc GT4: the latest flagship from Zeus Arsenal that aims to redefine portable vaporization. With its striking 24K gold finish, dual-material compatibility, and German engineering, the GT4 represents the pinnacle of the Arc series evolution.

After spending extensive time with this device, testing it through countless sessions, travel scenarios, and accessory combinations, I’m ready to share my complete thoughts. Spoiler alert: this vaporizer has earned a permanent spot in my rotation, though it’s not without a few minor quirks.

Feature Set Overview

The Zeus Arc GT4 packs an impressive list of features into its compact frame. Here’s what you’re getting:

24K GoldSink Technology

The GT4’s signature feature is its proprietary GoldSink Technology. The oven, vapor path, and cooling system are all coated with 24-karat gold, not just for aesthetics, but for practical performance benefits. Gold is an excellent heat conductor, allowing for more even heat distribution and faster heat transfer. This translates to better flavor preservation and more efficient extraction of your material.

Dual-Material Compatibility

Unlike many competitors that focus solely on dry herb, the GT4 handles both dry herbs and solid concentrates. The device features two distinct operating modes:

  • Herb Mode: Six temperature presets ranging from 195°C (383°F) to 225°C (437°F)
  • Wax Mode: Three temperature presets from 235°C (455°F) to 255°C (491°F)

This gives you nine total temperature options—more than double what the GT3 offered. Triple-clicking the power button switches between modes, indicated by a color change on the LED interface (green/blue for herbs, orange for wax).

ArcPod System for On-the-Go Convenience

The ArcPod system is what truly sets this device apart for portable use. These small, reusable capsules can be pre-packed with your material and sealed with included lids. You can prepare multiple pods at home and simply swap them out during the day—no grinding, no mess, no fuss. The Gold Edition even includes upgraded ArcPods GT with gold coating for improved heat distribution.

For concentrate users, the WaxPods work similarly, containing your material securely and making cleanup significantly easier. The pods feature an integrated mesh screen that filters out harsh particles.

Performance & Technical Specs

  • Heat-up Time: 35 seconds (nearly twice as fast as the GT3’s 80 seconds)
  • Battery: 3500 mAh lithium-ion battery for extended sessions
  • Charging: USB-C fast charging (approximately 90 minutes for full charge)
  • Size: 22.5mm x 42.5mm x 86.5mm (truly pocket-sized)
  • Weight: Approximately 121g
  • Heating Method: Conduction with improved airflow design
  • Auto-Shutoff: 6 minutes in Herb Mode, 2 minutes in Wax Mode

Included Accessories

Zeus doesn’t skimp on what’s in the box. The GT4 comes with:

  • 4x ArcPods (or ArcPods GT for Gold Edition)
  • 1x WaxPod (or WaxPod GT for Gold Edition)
  • 15x ArcPod Lids
  • Zeus Iceborn & Waterpipe Adapter (14mm and 18mm compatible)
  • Glass Spacer for smaller loads
  • Flow Sink Tool
  • Cleaning supplies (Grime Wipes, Grime Sticks, Bristle Cleaners)
  • USB-C charging cable

How Does It Compare to the Competition?

The portable dry herb vaporizer market in 2025/2026 is more competitive than ever. Let’s see how the GT4 stacks up against the heavy hitters.

Zeus Arc GT4 vs. Storz & Bickel Venty

The Venty ($399-$449) is widely considered the king of portable vapor quality with its hybrid convection/conduction heating and legendary Storz & Bickel build quality. However, the GT4 wins decisively on portability—the Venty is noticeably larger and harder to pocket discreetly. The GT4’s ArcPod system also offers a level of on-the-go convenience that the Venty simply can’t match. If you prioritize vapor density and airflow above all else and don’t mind the bulk, the Venty is excellent. But if true portability matters, the GT4 is the better choice.

Zeus Arc GT4 vs. Arizer Solo 3

The Solo 3 (~$276-$345) has earned praise for its glass vapor path, fast heat-up (15 seconds), and excellent flavor. It’s a fantastic device, but it requires carrying separate glass stems which can be fragile and inconvenient for travel. The GT4’s all-in-one design with pre-packable pods makes it significantly more travel-friendly. The Solo 3 doesn’t support concentrates either, giving the GT4 the edge for users who enjoy both materials.

Zeus Arc GT4 vs. Pax Plus/Pax Flow

The Pax series ($139-$350) has long been the benchmark for compact, sleek design. The new Pax Flow introduced improved hybrid heating, but Pax devices have historically suffered from uneven extraction and heat issues. The GT4’s GoldSink technology and double-screen filtration system deliver more consistent results. Plus, the GT4 includes water pipe and ice filtration adapters in the box—accessories that cost extra with Pax.

What Makes the GT4 Stand Out in 2025/2026

  • Dual Compatibility: The highest temperature range of any dual-use device on the market
  • Pod System: Unmatched convenience for travel and microdosing
  • Included Accessories: Water pipe and Iceborn adapters included, not sold separately
  • Build Quality: German engineering with premium 24K gold finish
  • Ecosystem: Full accessory lineup including the Xtruder grinder, E-Module, and Hub for serious enthusiasts

What I Love About the GT4

Perfect Size for True Portability

This is genuinely a pocketable vaporizer. At 86.5mm tall, it easily fits in a pants pocket without creating an awkward bulge or weighing you down. Unlike some “portable” vaporizers that really require a bag, the GT4 can actually go anywhere with you. For someone who values discretion and mobility, this is a game-changer.

Outstanding Vapor Flavor

The vapor quality impressed me from the first session. The GoldSink technology isn’t just marketing; you can taste the difference. The gold-coated vapor path and double-screen filtration system in the heat sink deliver clean, flavorful vapor without the harsh edge that some conduction vaporizers produce. At lower temperatures (195-207°C), the terpene expression is particularly impressive.

ArcPod System & Dosage Capsules

The pod system transforms the daily experience. I typically prepare 5-6 pods on Sunday evening and I’m set for the week. Each pod holds the perfect amount, and the included lids keep everything fresh and contained. No more grinding on the go, no spillage in my bag, no sticky residue on my fingers. This alone makes the GT4 worth considering over competitors that lack dosing capsule support.

Water Pipe Adapter Included

Many vaporizers sell their water pipe adapters as expensive add-ons. Zeus includes both 14mm and 18mm compatibility right in the box. This opens up a whole new dimension of use. Running the GT4 through a small bubbler at home delivers incredibly smooth hits.

Amazing combined with the Zeus Iceborn 3

If you’re going to invest in the GT4, the Zeus Iceborn 3 is the perfect companion accessory. The ice-cooled vapor path transforms the experience, allowing you to push higher temperatures without any harshness. It’s become my favorite way to use the device at home! The combination delivers cloud production that rivals some desktop units while maintaining excellent flavor.

The Magnetic Multi-Tool

It’s a small detail, but the included magnetic Multi-Tool GT deserves mention. The magnetic design makes loading and unloading the chamber effortless. Used herb material falls right out with the help of the multi-tool. It stashes conveniently at the bottom of the device over the USB-C port, so it’s always there when you need it. These thoughtful touches show that Zeus understands how people actually use their devices.

Room for Improvement

No device is perfect, and I’d be doing you a disservice by not mentioning the GT4’s shortcomings.

Gold Finish Shows Fingerprints

The gorgeous 24K gold finish comes with a trade-off: it’s a bit of a fingerprint magnet. If you’re particular about keeping your devices pristine, you’ll find yourself wiping it down regularly. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect performance, but worth noting if smudges bother you. The black version doesn’t have this issue, so consider that option if this is a concern.

LED Indicator Can Be Bright

The LED status interface is quite bright—perhaps too bright for use in dim environments. This becomes especially noticeable when using the device with the Iceborn 3, where the indicator sits right at eye level. A brightness dimmer option or a more subtle indicator would be a welcome addition in future iterations. For now, I just position the device so the LEDs face away from me during evening sessions.

Battery Indicator Could Be Better

Checking the battery level requires shaking the device twice, which then displays 1-3 LEDs indicating rough charge level. While functional, this system only gives you three tiers of information (0-33%, 34-66%, 67-99%). A more granular battery indicator—perhaps a four or five LED system, or even a small display—would help users better plan their sessions. I’ve been caught off-guard a few times thinking I had plenty of battery when I was actually running low.

Final Verdict

The Zeus Arc GT4 represents the most refined portable dry herb vaporizer I’ve used in 2025. It successfully balances true pocket portability with premium vapor quality—a combination that few competitors achieve. The ArcPod system solves the biggest pain point of portable vaporization, and the included accessories (especially the water pipe adapter) add tremendous value.

At $310, it’s positioned in the premium tier, but you’re getting a complete kit rather than a base unit that requires expensive add-ons. Factor in the dual herb/concentrate capability, the build quality, and the 2-year warranty (extendable to 3 years with registration), and the value proposition becomes clear.

Who should buy the GT4? Anyone who prioritizes portability without sacrificing quality, travelers who want mess-free sessions, users who enjoy both dry herbs and concentrates, and those who appreciate premium build quality and thoughtful design.

Who might look elsewhere? Users who prioritize maximum vapor density over portability (consider the Venty), those on a tight budget (look at the GT3 on sale), or purists who prefer convection-only heating.

The minor quibbles—fingerprint-prone gold finish, bright LEDs, and basic battery indicator—are just that: minor. They don’t detract from the overall excellent experience this device delivers.

Overall Rating: 9.4/10

The Zeus Arc GT4 has earned its place as my daily driver. If you’re in the market for a premium portable vaporizer that doesn’t compromise on the “portable” part, this is the one to beat in 2026.
