You can renew your ID card no sooner than 60 days prior to, and no less than 30 days before its expiration date. To become a designated caregiver, applicants must complete the designated caregiver application with the state of Missouri. The application process requires the same documents as the patient ID card.

Caregivers can serve up to 6 patients. Conversely, patients can have up to 2 caregivers. 

Missouri law states that a person who has a medical marijuana card from another state will not be subject to arrest or other sanctions under Missouri law for possession of marijuana in quantities less than the limits for qualified Missouri patients.
