Qualifying Conditions:
Unlike most states with medical marijuana programs in the United States, Oklahoma does not identify a specific list of qualifying conditions. A MMJ doctor in Oklahoma may certify a patient if they feel medical marijuana will be an appropriate treatment. It is up to the physician’s discretion to determine if cannabis would be beneficial for that patient’s particular medical condition.
Oklahoma licensed physicians may use other states’ lists of qualifying conditions. They may use this as a metric when determining whether a patient would benefit from the use of medical marijuana. However, keep in mind the conditions that qualify are up to the doctor to determine.
